I read that sex addiction is a disorder. People become addicted to sex as if it were drugs in order to try to numb/ forget about a past trauma. It's an addiction when it starts interfering with the ability to work/think/socialize/ do life.

I feel sorry for him then. And you're wrong. I've explained that if someone is having "sex addiction" there's something else wrong. Sex is like eating or going the bathroom; normal parts of life that you can has issues over but not physiological or psychological addiction. To say otherwise is to be clues as to what the words mean and science says. The pro-sex addiction people are either Christians pushing their religions views or people looking to hide behind a fake diagnosis. Find me sex addiction in the DSM.
