Why won't he let me go....

Me and my boyfriend have had problems on and off for over 2 years and I've warned him what will happen if he didn't change.
On Tuesday I gathered up some clothes and bits for the girls, I did plan to have a two week break from him but when I called him to meet up he told me to get lost and never contact him again.
Next day he wanted to get back with me and said he would change that he loves me, yet I don't hold any feeling to him anymore three days he's been trying to get back with me, why won't he get it its not gonna work.
He says I should give him one more chance that I don't have anything to lose.
I have two kids and I won't put them through it

He came to speak to me again about the same thing, about how he has changed and how he’s quit smoking and is eating properly and other things.
Why doesn’t he get it

Men often tend to think in terms of "doing", "fixing", and "solving."

So you talk of not having feelings toward him anymore, while he talks about "look what I'm doing to fix things."

This reminds me of the time my daughter broke up with a boyfriend. She found it very painful to have those conversations, because he kept saying things like "give me another chance", and her response was "you didn't do anything wrong!"

Relationships are hard.
