What are traits of narcissistic parents?
Narcissism is new word I discovered. I’m not so sure I really understand what it means. I think I do but I’m just not quite sure. Do any of you guys have narcissistic parents?

Well there is always a few dictionary definitions, but I think of a narcissist as being one rung below a sociopath on the wacko ladder. Sociopaths are incapable of experiencing any kind of empathy, remorse, guilt, or shame, and their pleasure and satisfaction is priority number one even if others have to pay in pain, suffering, and sometimes even death.
A narcissist, on the other hand can put on a show of empathy when they are in manipulation mode, and a show of remorse, guilt, and shame, if they are caught in the act of some skullduggery. Narcissists are master manipulators and random thespians as necessary. They can be disarmingly charming and seemingly sweet, but you are just part of a challenge for them. Like the sociopath, the narcissist put's his or her needs above the needs of others, and if they want something they will use use use, while you lose lose lose, in order to get what they want. I consider narcissists inherently more evil than sociopaths because sociopaths really can't help the way their brains function, while a narcissist is just selfish. Self centered. Self absorbed. Self involved. Self adulating.......... Selfish. They are capable of change but they don't want to change, and they feel good when people are convinced by whatever character they are playing, and the more vulnerable the victim becomes to the narcissists manipulation, the more self satisfied the narcissist becomes. A narcissists friends are a means to an end, and they can cleverly convince you of just about anything they want. I believe the easiest way to spot Narcissus, is to carry on random conversation and listen carefully to how many times he or she uses personal pronouns in all tenses, Also, when they are in manipulation mode they will lie at some point or even quite often, and if you listen carefully you will hear them contradict themselves, or stories will conflict with each other. Don't out them though, because a narcissist is most enraged and most likely to be violent when they are flat out busted!
