yep, gotta pay the tax man... You could just co habitate and be considered common law married after 6 months
@TexChik Unfortunately several states do not recognize common-law marriages. And the length of time you need to cohabitate varies by state. There are also different requirements for being considered common-law married then just cohabitating in many states.
