My father overreacted to something I didnt do wrong?

One of my friends on facebook tagged me and several others when he posted an article about a man pushing a woman onto train tracks in the subway. My father saw this and he got very mad with me and told me to clean out my entire profile. The truth is, my profile is very clean and had nothing inappropriate on it, so there was no need for him to be angry with me at all. I understand that he is looking out for me and I get it, but he really didn't have to be all that upset.

I always delete something that I find inappropriate. Truth is I wasn't on facebook at all this morning. I wasn't aware of the article that my friend posted until my dad brought it up, so I clearly didn't do anything wrong. But my dad just kept making it seem like "I'm not on top of things" or that "I should be in control of my life" even though the incident was clearly beyond my control because I didn't post the article on my profile.

Tell me what do you think of this? Do you think he had the right to condecsend me even thought his was my friend's fault?

Please no negative or irrelevent comments! Thank you.

It's a misunderstanding. Don't take it personally.

@assemblingaknob He talks this way to me all the time. And I'm so afraid to come up and visit him because of it.
