Parents, at what age did your kids stop crying over little things?

Johnblackthorn · 56-60, M Best Comment
it never started for us, it's hard to get it right, and almost impossible to fix if you started wrong.
Irrespective of age, a few months is not too soon, as soon as they start, hold them close and talk quietly to them, the idea is to teach them, via habit forming, that when they want to communicate talking quietly is the way to go, it's easy once you start the ball rolling, once it's started you have to keep it going. All the time, no matter how busy you are.

@Johnblackthorn My brother talks to his daughter in a high voice, is that the right way?

@scooogy whatever works is right, the idea is to keep them calm and get into a habit of talking and not crying.
One ot the benefits of it is that they only cry out of frustration or pain, usually teething pain,
But that's another easy fix.

@Lilnonames My niece always started to cry whenever her father (my brother) got out of sight.
