I've been hanging out with them since October and they seemed nice. They're crazy and very fiesty. They've been telling me I'm too nice and sweet and been bugging me to show my "mean" side.
Like when they are with my friends, they pretend that they don't know me and walk away. They always do that sometimes.
They be friendly with me but with their other friends they pretend to not know me. They would look at me and keep talking to them. That angered me but I pretend that it doesn't bug me. My dad said he's seen the way they've treated me. Even my oldest brother noticed it and told me to listen to dad and he is just protecting me. He also said, "You don't read people. That's your biggest problem. You lack that and that's why you get easily manipulated. Truth is, you're naive." I yelled at my dad, "YOU JUST DON'T LIKE MY FRIENDS!!! THEY'RE MY FRIENDS AND IM GOING TO KEEP HANGING OUT WITH THEM!!!"
He said, "You don't have to yell at me!! I'm telling you. Don't hang out with those girls! They are NOT your friends. Just because someone is smiling at you doesn't mean they're a nice person. Just because you hang with them doesn't mean they're your friends. You BETTER listen to me!"
I don't have to listen to him. He just doesn't want me to hang with them.
Why is my family saying I'm naive and too nice?
The girls ditched me at the homecoming dance to be with their friends and boyfriend's. I was hurt. I ended up sitting alone. No "I'm sorry" no "We feel awful". They just act like nothing happened. I was furious inside but I pretended it didn't bother me.

I'm sorry to say your family are right.
Your
friends
are pissing on your leg and trying to tell you it's raining.
I think deep down you know that and that's why you get angry and shout at your dad and brothers you need to wake up and relish they're not your friends.
Stand up for yourself and find better friends.
I'm sorry to sound like a fuckwit but you need to know and believe in yourself more and stand up for yourself.

@Adamski24 I don't understand why people are calling me naive.

@Adamski24 I can't believe my oldest brother is siding with him. He said, "You're not going to like my answer, but Dad's right. Those girls are NOT your friends at all. They are fake bullies that are just using you. I think they're pretending to be nice to to you because you have a disability but they keep ditching you. Does that sound like friends to you? Have they EVER apologize for how they treated you? Just because they give you a nice card of a gift doesn't mean they really care about you. I mean it's nice they did but they're probably just fooling you. I know it sounds harsh and brutally blunt but someone had to tell you. You don't always listen and don't wanna hear the truth. We're not going to tell you what you WANT to hear. Dad is just looking out for you and he's right, ditch them." Wow that is.....pretty harsh. 🥺😔
