Parents, how did you handle becoming an empty "nester"?

My daughter will be completing her Freshman year of college and transferring to a different college in March. As of now she lives at home, when she changes colleges, she will be thankfully only 4 hours away. She is the last of my 3 children to leave. For parents with children, how did you handle becoming empty "nesters" as they say.

In that transition now with my son .. and youngest starts fall 2020.

Just trying to remember this was the goal and we did our job preparing them well. They are good people .. doing what they need to in order to have challenging and rewarding careers. Next step in their journey.
