Parents, how did you handle becoming an empty "nester"?

My daughter will be completing her Freshman year of college and transferring to a different college in March. As of now she lives at home, when she changes colleges, she will be thankfully only 4 hours away. She is the last of my 3 children to leave. For parents with children, how did you handle becoming empty "nesters" as they say.

I thought it was going to be tough ...best thing ever.

Also, the college ones come back so it doesn't really count.

@SW-User I'm glad things worked out it was the best thing ever. My oldest boy didn't move back home after college. I'm glad he lives only an hour away.

@SW-User Why the best thing ever? New found freedom you may have forgotten you had before having kids?
