What is a fond memory of one of your parents?

Thinking about those who have lost a parent and are missing them.

My mom could meet someone at the laundromat and have a great friendship that would last for years. I never appreciated her empathy for everyone she met until years later. I can still see her smil, thinking she was the one being blessed while blessing a complete stranger. Amazing.

@Vivaci you are. It鈥檚 a natural gift that you don鈥檛 think about, you just do. It has an amazing impact on those you meet. Even when your soul is troubled you lighten the burdens of family, friends and strangers. Your dad left you a legacy Viv.

@SweetMae I've written a post on him....long back. He was stellar....when he was hospitalized (2 months before he died), friends from all over the country came just to meet him....it was quite humbling as we had only 1 hour visiting allowed in the ICU. Everyday there was two or three families. Even the hospital staff was amazed.
