Parents, if your child was being nasty or unpleasant to you, how do you handle it?
I know most parents don't take sorry so well, scold at their kids for being hurtful and give the silent treatment. I remember when we pisses off dad and he yelled at us big time. I got scared. No he wasn't abusive.
I didn't like it when dad got angry. I would say, "Daddy I don't like it when you're mad." Then dad flat out told me, "Well don't make Daddy angry then. Is parents have feelings too you know." One time I was so horrible and nasty, my dad gave me the silent treatment. My brothers too. I tried talking to him, he would not talk to me. I screamed at my dad and cried. Then he said, "Are you going to be respectful towards Daddy?" I said yes. Then he said, "Good I did that to teach you a lesson. Don't ever treat Daddy like that again. I don't respond to nasty behaviors." I thought parents were so mean and don't like the word sorry. When I say sorry dad doesn't respond. Parents why are you so difficult?
