Why do parents become pushy about their children to give them grand children?

ThePerfectUsername · 70-79, M
It's not uncommon as you get older to realise you have additional love but nobody to give it to. Plus if you're a good parent it's only natural to want your own kids to know how thrilling and rewarding it can be to have children.
Gelartsyyy · 22-25, F
Maybe because they miss taking care of cute little kids? Since their own children are all grown up.
Wraithorn · 51-55, M
I think largely but not always it's connected to tradition, culture, religion etc.
I told my daughter not to feel any such pressure. It is her decision, not mine.

They want you to keep spreading their genes.
The continuation of the family.

@SW-User Yeah, why not spreading the genes of an autistic father and an antisocial mother xD

@Sazzio Got the idea from the episode in "The big bang theory" in which Raj gets pushed into having kids
