What lies were you told when you were a kid that you believed?

My parents told us that if we lied we would get bumps on our tongue.

When we lied they would say "Let me see your tongue" We would refuse to show them and thus they knew we were lying.

@Ichangemyusername Yes, but I now have 3 kids that are all in genius programs at school that would never fall for that stuff and even though they all look like me I might have to search for their real parents since they are so much smarter...lol
