I Believe Parenting Is The Hardest Job Anyone Could Ever Have

I believe this is so true. When I was younger I thought it would be easy to raise a kid. I thought I could be a great parent and the kids would do what I wanted them to if I treated them with respect. I was sure they would treat us with respect also.

THEN I had a few kids and realized that the parenting gig is a bit harder than I ever thought it would be. Our 12 year old feels it's okay to constantly get upset everytime we tell her no. And believe me it's not like she grew up not knowing what the word no was. There have been plenty of times we have said no and that is perfectly fine. But lately it seems everytime we say no it puts her in a tail spin and we can not even discuss what she is asking logically. I hear 12-16 are the toughest years for girls and parents but good lord I'm not sure if we will make it till she is 16.

parenting is hard I imagine but I wouldn't call it a "job".. I know people hate it when others say that but yeah.. Also the hardest job anyone can do? I call B.S on that one.. Much harder, more dangerous jobs where people actually die from doing them

@PlumBerries I can agree with that.. You are right.. plenty of jobs out there to get you hurt or worse killed. But tell a stay home mom or dad that it's not a job and you are bound to get your head torn off.. But you are correct in the sense it's not the hardest or most dangerous out there!

@Ninersfan73 I just think referring to raising children as a job, actually devalues raising children. Much more important than a job imo
