For people who stay alone and don't have kids, do you get lonely?

I live alone, have done for the last eight years, I don'e have kids. I don't have any family living in the same country as me. I make the most of my life, I keep myself busy buy being productive. I also have a few awesome friends and neighbours. I don't get much time to be lonely. :)
