Should housewives be payed?
Personally i think they should. Running a house is like running a company. Long, thankless hours of taking care of other people should be rewarded..

I worked a career in the military follow by years in the corporate world. I got laid off from my last corporate gig right after 9/11. My spouse took a job at the school district while I stayed at home with the kids playing 'House Husband" while I started an internet based business.
I kind of have a different take on it in that I believe that neither spouse should be paid but all chores/household responsibilities should be shared and you should just step up and do the household things that need doing when you see that they need doing.
