Parenting is difficult! Never lose sight of what you did at certain ages - times and behaviour haven't changed that much from one generation to another. By the age of 15 you can only hope that the lessons you inculcated at an earlier age have been absorbed....... Having said that, a 15-year-old's party until 1am does seem an hour or so too late.
I watched a documentary on the 50th Anniversary of Woodstock last night. I'd just turned 16 then; the following summer (while I was still 16) I hitchhiked 200 miles to a similar festival - and yes, there was sex 'n' drugs and rock 'n' roll..... Did my parents worry? Most probably. Did they know it was time to let go and let me grow up? Definitely. That's probably the most difficult part of parenting.
