I wanna see my absent mother but my dad doesn't thing it's a great idea. What should I do?

I'm thinking about visiting my mom before my senior year starts which is in two weeks. My mom said goodbye to us and left letters for us to have her own life. No she didn't abandon us. Anyways so my mom is......well busy. I've been waiting for a phone call all day today and she never called. I called her twice but she never picked up. She told me she was going to arrive at my 13th birthday. I've waited for 9 hours. My dad distracted me by games, dancing and wanted me to have fun which I did. My dad kept telling me to not get my hopes up. My mom never showed up. I called and asked what happened. She never called back. Then two months later she said she forgot and didn't feel sorry for it. I'm thinking about living with her but my dad doesn't know about it. My best girl plans said it's a crazy idea and I'll end up hurt again as usual. This time I'm sure my mom will appricate it.

I just need my mother and my dad said seeing her isn't worth it and she is just going to hurt me again.

It’s always possible your mom had good reasons to leave. Maybe she felt it was for the best. It’s hard when kids get caught up in relationship issues. You speak of wishing to live with her, but how do you know she will make you welcome. How will your dad feel, after all he has looked after you since. Won’t he be hurt?Go see her for sure, but don’t make any decisions long term until you know it is not only what you want to do, but it’ll work. Good luck anyway.
