What would cause the court to grant a father full custody of his son?

He used to only see his son on the weekends.the child stayed with the mother full time but the courts gave the father full custody.

Well... hard to say without knowing details. But the most likely thing would be the child being in a dangerous or harmful environment.

@Quizzical The courts tend to be biased in favour of mothers so she must have presented a real, serious danger to the child.

@Quizzical It would have to be exceptionally dangerous to override the general bias though.
