Parents always trying to one-up their children

I assume parents who do this are insecure. Anytime their kid is kicking @$$ at something their parents try to push them down or disencourage them. It's quite pathetic and disgusting on the parents side.

@Prettybrat My son in laws parents do this side of it too. The "Oh I had it much worse" nonsense. Unfortunately they don't seek out to go do something more miserable to really one up them.

@TwiddlerofThumbs no I mean like in terms of wealth, opportunities, or happiness in general. Almost like they can't stand to see their children doing better than they did in life.
