I was raised as a jehovahs witness until I reached 15,when I rebelled against the stifling regime. With school and the endless meetings and door to door calling,I found my whole time was being taken without any regard as to what I wished to do.Even when spare time did happen,it was frowned upon to mix with others who were not witnesses.Once I had broken away,I loved my life, and started to make friends with those I liked and found fun.I understand what you mean when you say you feel uncomfortable attending the events, and think it very, very strange that children should be integrated into a belief before they have any chance to mature and answer for themselves as to what they do or dont agree with.
