Has anyone ever had their mouth washed out before? Or washed their kids mouth out?

I tried to avoid it when I was growing up. My mom used a liquid soap that changed how everything tasted for a day or two after! So far my kids have never needed that more than once.

Only do it when necessary. My mom only used it if we used bad language. If you use it when they are young you don't need to use it much at all. But when done right you don't have to worry about doing it after they hit teenager years.
