Do children pick up their parents mannerisms?

I'm short-tempered, because my parents were short-tempered, and because their parents in turn were short-tempered, except from my grandpa, from my father's side..he just didn't care.

My parents have certain words and phrases that they use often, my little sisters have picked them up and use them in conversations. Was just thinking about the things me and my sisters do that my parents also do. @Dan193
