Why is my aunt beinv so hard on me about what I eat?

Four months ago, she called me out on my weight and why am getting so big. She said it right in front of my cousins. It embarassed me. She asked me what have I been eating and she wants to help.
I lost inches but not weight. Welk I lost two pounds. She asked what did I eat for breakfast over the weekend and I told her I had some tea and 3 strips of bacon. She cut me up saying, "NO bacon! Its too fat and it will go straight to your legs! Did you ever though about eating fruits or outmeal or anuthing? Tea is always good but no bacon. Hey if you wanna lose weight you need to cut out thwt nasty junk and get with it!"
I told her I tried a diet but she interrupted saying, "Why bother going on a diet? You're just eating smaller portions of food and cutting out junk. If you do dieting, you're going to fail.m and you're go back being big."
Boy she speaks her mind a lot and She's loud. I am 229 now. I gained 3 pounds. I was 226. My starting weight was 232lbs. I'm 5'10 and out of shape. I keep bying sugary snacks sometimes and chocolate. It's so hard. We went to get something to eat and she made sure I stay away from the junk food. I told her my size is average nowadays." She shoot me back saying, "That's because they're overweight. Stop making excuses and take your health seriously. You NEED to start doing that Layla (me)."I know she cares but why is she being so hard on me?
She so blunt about my weight and very outspoken. Health problems run in our family.

Question... is she culturally western? I know in some Asian and Latino cultures they are super Real about when someone is overweight.

She may also be afraid of what will happen to you if you remain obese. Obesity is second only to smoking in increasing risk of cancer and health problems like heart disease, vascular problems, diabetes, joint problems, and dying in your sleep.

Seriously you're not obese by a hell of a lot. Lose it now while you're young and reduce your risk for many diseases and causes of early death.

She is WRONG about bacon though. You could lose weight eating nothing but bacon if you really wanted to. Its all about calories in, calories out.
