Do you or did you have permissive parents?

Did it work out well or not? I read some kids end up resenting their parents for not giving them more boundaries and rules.

I didn't have permissive parents. I had [i]supportive[/i] parents. I had boundaries and rules and they could be a bit overprotective sometimes. But they supported what I wanted to do and supported who I am (I'm gay and they had no problem when I came out).
