Momitoring Daughter's media?

Do you guys think it's okay to monitor or as I like to say "mom"itor your daughter's social media activity by checking her phone every once in a while? (She's 18 and lives with us)

No? She is an adult and that could get you in trouble.

@canusernamebemyusername really? How, I'm her mother
@MrsAubrey Parents can kidnap their own kids anymore too. If she wants privacy she could file a suit against invasion of privacy if she wanted to make a big deal out of it.

@canusernamebemyusername I'm sure she could talk to me first before sueing her parents after we give her everything she wants.
@MrsAubrey Yeah I was just mentioning an extreme case. What are you wanting to monitor anyway? Is she wild or something?

@canusernamebemyusername I didn't think she was but recently found out over this site that she isn't as innocent as I thought.
@MrsAubrey All you can do is try to raise her with good judgment. At this point she is kind of on her own in that department. Controlling to much and they can be driven even farther away. Also as long as she isn't meeting people or anything I wouldn't worry about it. All sites like this can do is talk. If you are really concerned talk to her about your feelings and remain open in case she needs anything. But at this point in life she is trying to be independent and her own person.
