What do you think about this?

So my housemate says that if a black man and white woman have a child....their offspring is considered a different race. But then he says that genetic markers can't prove the race of a person.

Do you think that there's such thing as different kinds of "race"? Or is there just the "human race"?

My two housemates have been going in circles about this. So I just wanna know what people here would think.

This is not the place to seek facts regarding the anthropological preeminence of physically classifiable racially unique traits. Nor is it a logical thing to disclose facts regarding reproductive biochemically induced impetus vs sociological regenerative advantages or disadvantages of bi pedal hominids. Be they social or biological. What you are curious about is something very obscure in the historical human genome having to do with cultural super groups. It's several orders of magnitude over most college professors heads anyway. By the way. The offspring would be whatever the mother is, regardless of other superficially observable physical assets.

Not here to seek facts. Just curious to see what other's thoughts are on this. Thanks for your comment and your input.

Understood. I often make the error of assuming that when someone seeks another's opinion that they are doing as such for the express purpose of increasing their factual understanding about the subject in which they inquire about. I wish you much enjoyment and success in your endeavors to find opinions not supported by fact.
