Yeah. That's right. Please tell me how I am the EVIL STEP MOTHER, when you have NEVER had to help raise someone else's kids.

I think stepmothers are automatically thought of in negative ways and some of these kids can be evil in trying to cause trouble for them. When they don't do that I hope the women count their blessings.

@cherokeepatti Yeah, too bad the mother who SHOULD have raised her own kid just walked away. Yep. I am the bad guy.

@SW-User I'm in the same situation, the mother of this boy has never done anything independent of using her kids to worm her way into someone else's home so she wouldn't have to work. Her grandma died 5 years ago and they went to stay with an aunt, the aunt didn't have patience for they boy and we got him. His mother was not in contact with the family so she didn't know until about 5 months later and started criticizing to her daughter about it saying she didn't think it was right that we were raising him and her daughter told her if she would learn to get her own shit together other people wouldn't have to be raising her kids for her. She doesn't dare call up here or show her face.
SW-User
@cherokeepatti Exactly! And those who pick up the pieces and are frustrated as hell from the disrespect, are branded "THE EVIL STEP PARENT."

@cherokeepatti She doesn't even give the address where she is living to the courts so she can be served papers for the annual custody review. Mostly cause she has warrants most of the time for stupid things. Can't get her shit together and she's 38 years old.

@SW-User Oh I'm way past it now. This is the sweetest kid a person could ever have, he wins awards every year at school for respect. Something she doesn't know the meaning of.
SW-User
@cherokeepatti I am so glad he learned that from you!!
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@SW-User His grandmother did her best with those kids. I think he got most of it from her. Every great once in a while he gets a little streak in him that I'm sure he got from being around his mother when she was still living in the house with them and I put a stop to it quickly. She was something else.
SW-User
@cherokeepatti This kid's mother is a CHILD. Drug addict, whore.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@SW-User Same with his mother. She was in a state-sponsored free rehab with a program that lasts 9 months, got booted out in 6 months and she had the nerve to complain about the food, she looked like she had gained about 75 pounds so it must have not been all that bad. She had told them she would go to a half-way house and every one that was found for her she would tell us that there was a long waiting list, I don't think so. She just didn't want to abide by any rules or work a job.
SW-User
@cherokeepatti Makes me sick.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@SW-User I know, she is the most narcissistic person I've ever known. I think she had both of those kids just to exploit them.
SW-User
@cherokeepatti His mother had 6 kids by three different fathers.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@SW-User Was welfare paying for the medical care? Didn't they offer to pay for tubal ligation?
SW-User
@cherokeepatti Not sure. She loved the attention she got when she was pregnant.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@SW-User Having kids for attention then abandoning them. I'm sure she exploited them for her own selfish uses.
