I think it's because technology has dragged them away from interacting with each other and society. Screenagers. We, as kids, had to deal with each other's personalities good and bad. We did it eye to eye and learned how to communicate and compromise. So many of this techno generation are so thin skinned ...their social skills stink, coping skills non-existent. Interacting with people online teaches nothing. Cripes, they go right to suicide when things get the least bit difficult or unpleasant. They will be running things at some point

@SW-User It really is CP! When I'm driving past the kids who are waiting for the school bus...on EVERY corner...there are adults there as well....just about every person there is looking down at a phone. I'm on a van with several other people and I point it out to them because it is horrifying...and the people on the van with me can barely lift their heads from their own phones to look out the window. Most people walking down the street are also looking down at a screen.
