For people abused by parents: Have you ever resented those who have really great parents who don't appreciate them?

I've had this happen a few times in my life. I hate to see anyone treating good parents with indifference or lack of appreciation and respect. I would have given a lot to have had a loving mom and a dad who had enough power to resist my mother's Communist Party inspired machinations.

@Fernie Yes, I do see what you mean. But I do sometimes envy those with kind sane families and hate to see good parents not treated well. Maybe resentment is too strong or comprehensive a words since it is not something I dwell on or scold people for. It's kind of like wanting a Ferrari and daydreaming about polishing it up and taking it for a spin and then seeing someone with a Ferrari who doesn't even care for it at all and drives it drunk. Their problem, I suppose, ultimately. People often do not appreciate what comes easily.
