I thought there'd be about as many answers as there are people, but not so many answers here :p The limiting factor to me is I think for a 6 year old, it would need to be kept simple, which might rule out most people I think of as real life superheroes ;) And with that in mind, I'd just go with someone or barring that, something that interests him personally.
When I think of the literal concept though, Stanislav Petrov "the man who single-handedly saved the world from nuclear war" and Nikola Tesla, who successfully put magic into "any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic". Those, however, might be bit beyond the age category. How about J.K Rowling, is that a thing? There are many great authors, but her personal story is among the most inspiring.

@kaykay22 😏 I don't know what a kid of this age could understand about Mother Teresa.
Help your kid then.
Mother Teresa is a hero because? A short intro of her life and what changed her to become that way. Her accomplishments. Some quote. And a conclusion.

@kaykay22 Yeah I've never read that much about her until recently but she was quite the woman for her time. A badass farmers daughter helping the king of France beat back the English. 😎

Vivian Thomas. He was a black, high school educated janitor who invented heart surgery. True fact, he performed the first successful heart surgery on a dog and then educated hundreds of doctors on the procedure at Johns Hopkins University.

@kaykay22 lol the inventor of the Nobel Prize I remember studying about him in 6th grade. He was a Swedish chemist and he invented dynamite to help people in mining but people used it to attack each other so in order to express his regret he gave his fortune to a bank and made a prize from it to anyone who makes the world a better place. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nobel_Prize
Wizzlesticks · 26-30, M
@kaykay22 Swedish scientist that invented dynamite. And he later became the creator of the Nobel prize. I wrote about him when I was 6-7 😋
