MY New 18 stepdaughter borrowed my car and it was in an accident! How do I cope ?

Having a flicker of OMG freaking out— what’s going to happen to my insurance now ???? So that’s two questions. But I’m more curious as to how to talk with her, to what degree do I hold her financially accountable?

This is very serious. I just wanted to give you a link to go talk to the legal community to perhaps ease your mind. It’s free legal advice. She’s not on your insurance. That’s why I never allowed my daughter to drive my car. Even though she was angry about it. Did the stepdaughter have a drivers license and if so, is it current? @Mindful

@LadyGrace yes, she’s 18, her drivers license current. Yeah. I should have been tougher on this. I’m under the influence of someone else. Her dad. She’s just visiting till she goes to college in a few days
