What do you think are the pros and cons of having parents that are older then the average age gap between parent and child?

As in being in the grandparents generation

Grandparent generation would make that person around 40-50 yrs. old. At age 40 the only con would be “is my baby going to have a genetic disorder?”
At 50, the pros are nearly nonexistent.

@CereBellum grandparent generation at 40?? i think its more of a 50-60 plus
@celine211 At age 50-60 I cant imagine a woman even being able to procreate. Adopting a baby at that age is probably not going to happen either.

@celine211 Usually, 40 is the cutoff age, but it is subjective.

@CereBellum I have a friend who's Mom was 52 when he was born. Naturally, too, there was no IVF in 1951...
Oh, this guy is totally normal, BTW, except his IQ was about 150...
