I can see where Rachel is coming from. My sister and I never had a choice either. Our mother would never have allowed us to choose our punishment. If we had to be punished, we were spanked even in our teenage years. Spanked hard and on our bare bottoms.
It was not just the sting and the sore bottoms though, it was the intense embarrassment and shame of being put across our mother’s lap as teens and then spanked to tears and kicking like we were infants.

@annk1958 That's exactly how I feel about it ! I know people say "a spanking stings but it's over quickly" but my spankings were unbearably painful to me and I could feel sore/tender for hours after.
