Is my behaviour wrong?

I am 19 btw.
I have made new friends and i am going out with them all the time.
It is summer and so before i start work we go for breakfast.
My friend finishes work at 9pm and we hang out afterwards until midnight then I go home.

My parents think that I should be at home and I am being rude by leaving all the time. They even think that I am on drugs because I am out all the time!

I have depression and going out really helps to keep me mentally stable and social, which is a big pull factor for me.

I am always having to sneak past them whereas at my house I go and come whenever I please (I am visiting for the summer).

Am I being unreasonable going out with friends all the time?

Should I be allowed to?

Well, it’s a bit of a tough situation. If you’re at your parents house, you do want to try to be respectful of their wishes and of the time while under their roof. Staying out until midnight for majority of the week is a tiny bit disrespectful because you’re coming home extremely early in the morning and they could have been worried about you all that time. A solution would be to maybe stay out that late on the weekends only. Also, your parents may miss you and want to spend time with you. If you’re gone that long all the time then they don’t have an opportunity to that. Of course there’s nothing wrong with hanging out with friends for the summer, but cutting back on the hours may be a good idea. You can get home earlier at a reasonable time or see friends less frequently.
