Am I bad for letting my kids smoke?

I started young, everyone in my family did, but people say I’m wrong for letting start whenever they want

Actually why as parents we are to blame, when we acquire things from the society & people around. Nothing of what I acquired were by my parents. The same goes for my children too. Cause these are things out of control of an individual. We did not bring about Cigarettes or Wine and make it available at shops. So it is the government and society that has to be blamed if at all.
