What do I do to make my parents appreciate me more?

@LyricalOne I don’t know, I try but never seem to get better, they want a kid like my uncles daughter. Obident, smart, athletic, pretty

@Cow1919 Ask for specifics. You can’t reach a goal if you don’t know what it is. Maybe that’s why you’re feeling somewhat lost.

@LyricalOne they’ve given me a standard I can’t reach, I’m not any of those things for them but I want at least one word of approval

@Cow1919 Then talk to them again, let them know how you feel, and renegotiate some new goals and standards you can reach. Sometimes parents need a little help learning how to become better parents.

@LyricalOne the thing is they push it off, "you always want to kill yourslef when things go wrong." they've said about us

@Cow1919 Well is that true? Do you have mental health issues that need addressing? Are you a perfectionist? Do you expect too much of yourself? Sometimes that can make it seem easier not to try at all.
