Do your presence make your child want to go home?

For parents...
How do you welcome them (if you even do)? Do you ask them about their day? Do you show them you care? It doesn't matter what age the child is. It matters that they feel warmth when they go home to you.

I always greet them with a big smile and enthusiastic "welcome home". I give them a hug and kiss, tell them I'm happy to see them, ask about their day, etc.

I used to dread going to school because the school bully focused on me. Then I dreaded going home because of my mother.

@greenmountaingal I'm sorry to hear that.
