True. My daughters dad ran off when she was born. He signed away his parental rights.

@SW-User they still have a chance of a normal life if you can find someone to help with them. I was a single dad after my son's mom ran off. I pulled in a lot of help from others. Scouts, coaches, music lessons, church, family, and friends. You might even find a guy who will take them in as his own. My friend Kristin died of cancer and her family would not take on the kids. They stayed with me until they were 18. Unfortunately they had been through too much. I couldn't do as much for them.
