At what age should parents stop walking their children to the bus stop?

I have two daughters who are 12 and 10 years old. Every morning the three of us walk to the school bus stop together. Most of the other children who still walk with their parents are younger than my daughters.

I don't even remember parents accompanying their kids to school back in my day, and it was far more dangerous than it is today. We just chose to walk with our friends and that was the end of it.
