Would you intervene if your child's spouse started leeching on her and insulting her in public but your child, who cries everyday, won't leave him?

Yes I wouldn't be much of a father if I didn't and believe me it would stop rather rapidly as people don't like me when I am angry .I have been told a few times that I can be quite intimidating .
