Does anyone got advice for a stepfather to be?

Yes, if you love the mother you love her children, show that love and give your whole heart to do good for them, even knowing they may not be grateful for it until years after they're gone.

Patience.
Remember that they are kids...even into their early 20's...and they'll say some pretty awful things when their emotions get the better of them. But you can overcome all of their barriers by being consistent in your values and attitude, and fair to all involved. You may feel like you're being extremely fair...well, double that and you'll be getting close. For example, give each child a present if you give any of them a present (except for their personal birthdays.)
And more patience.

@SWisGoingWoke Thanks.
At your age? Be the best father/partner you can be. Also see if this is the commitment you want. If not, tell the truth.

I want the best for the kid. I don't want to treat her like dirt.
