I’m for it. Lots of arguments for and against. I’ve never seen any science saying it’s more pleasurable without. I have seen studies saying it’s easier to keep clean if it is.

@Livingwell There is no scientific way to measure how much a person enjoys sex. However the most sensitive parts of the penis are parts damaged by, or lost to, circumcision.
There are no studies finding that the cut penis is cleaner or more hygienic.

@consa01 To the contrary, the Kingsley institute conducted many such published studies. Several involved taking scans of the brain, etc. The ADA and Journals of medicine have recommended the practice for years with ease of hygiene listed as a main benefit. As to studies, I do not know what testing methods they used- statistical or clinical.

@Livingwell Citations please. I have been following the scientific controversy surrounding routine infant circumcision since 1983, and have never encountered any mention of the work whose existence you allege.
It's Kinsey, not Kingsley, Institute.
The 2012 Report of the AAP's Circumcision Task Force said that there is no evidence that the foreskin is or is not a hygiene problem in the USA. The rallying cry of the circumcision defenders has been "fewer STDs" not "improved hygiene".
The only brain scans done after infant circumcision were done by Paul Tinari PhD of Canada, who is strongly anti-circumcision. He examined only one freshly circumcised baby. No one has tried to find how brain scans done on circumcised adult men differ from those done on intact men. Your last sentence raises serious questions about your understanding of the very limited scientific literature bearing on this debate. A clinical study reports on one or more cases in detail. A statistical study collects data on a number of cases, with the data being observational or experimental. Only experimental studies can feature random assignment of subjects to treatment and control categories.

@consa01 You have the internet. They are easily found. I’m an engineer and fully understand methods of research as an architect and analyst. Discovery channel presented multiple documentaries as well. My intention is not to convince you or anyone. You’re opinions are already formed and I have better things to do than attempt to tie a common medical practice approved by the ADA by people far smarter than us to degrees sexual satisfaction, which is not the original topic.

@Livingwell If you claim that something exists on the internet, and if someone is sceptical about your claim, you have to find it. It is unethical to wave your hand airily and say that the documents in question are there somewhere. Send me one or more links.
Also send me links proving that the Discovery channel has done at least one documentary on circumcision.
In my experience, engineers and architects do not appreciate the issues that make competent social science and biomedical research quite challenging.
If your intention is not to convince anyone, and you have better things to do, why are you taking part in this thread?
What is the ADA?
The American Association of Pediatrics ruled in 2012 that parents should have the option of having their sons circumcised, if that is what they prefer, and that health insurance, including Medicaid, should cover the cost. The trade association of American obgyns rubber stamped this policy, as did the AMA. In no other nation has the medical profession issued a policy of this nature. In fact, medical association in other first world countries have issued statements formally advising parents to not circumcise their sons unless there is a valid therapeutic reason.
Valid reasoning about the merits and demerits of circumcision cannot ignore sexual satisfaction. Ignoring sexual satisfaction is like creating a Star Wars movie without Han Solo.
