I think it's disgusting that we are fine with women displaying their breasts any other time, but heaven forbid she nurse her baby in public! Give me a break....if someone doesn't like it, they can look the other way.

Never sure why anyone made a fuss over this. Every woman I have seen do it, is well covered. Anyone making a big deal over this is just childish.

Why would it matter to anyone? Except for those that were bottle fed from birth, we all kinda know what that's about. Not exactly something shameful. lol

@Picklebobble2 they dont have to it is their choice. Some people find it offensive if you take out a boob in public some don't. I am neutral about this. Personally would use a shawl or small blanket in public just to be respectful towards those who takes offense. Some men perv over this and i can see that it could cause potential problems if a husband and wife sits at lunch and I take out a boob and the husband drewl over it. It may not be nice for his wife (unless she does not care). But ultimately it is a woman's choice what she wants to do.

Do it in a quiet area for the comfort of your baby and if you are in view of others cover yourself with a shawl.

I always went to a quiet area ( dressing room ) to feed my baby, I didn't think it was comfortable in view of everybody in a noisy area.

I think it's good that we allow it publicly as a society but I think it's also a private thing and that doing it openly should only be done in an emergency.

@CheerfullyCurious Many do, because when a woman covers up and does not make an issue of it, you are not even sure they are breastfeeding the child. Its when the mom does it without covering up or keeps showing a breast is when it becomes an issue with people.

I don't know what I think about this really. I can understand that some may find it indecent. I can also understand that it's no big deal and a baby's got to eat.
