If we were acting up in public Mom used to rhetorically ask [i]"Do I need to pull your pants down right here?"[/i] Of course that never happened but we knew if we didn't straighten up pronto it would happen as soon as we got home.馃挜 One time I pointed out to her that I was wearing a skirt not pants. Backtalk in the face of an imminent spanking is not real smart --only with profuse apologies was I able to get out of that one. 馃槶Today, whenever I sass Mom she will comment how not blistering my butt on that occasion is one of the biggest regrets of her life. She considers it a major failure in her career as a mother 馃榾

@beckychandler My mom avoided the issue with a skirt because she would either say "do you need some warning swats young lady?" or "Do I need to spank you Kathryn?" She was always very direct with her warnings
