Did anyone else have more chores than their siblings?

I'm 21 and currently live with my parents. I have 24 year old brother who lives at home too. I go to school full-time, I will be graduating next year in the spring. However my brother isn't in school and he's not working either. He sits around the house playing video games all day. When my parents are at work and we're both at home, they ask me to do everything in the house.

It's probably because they know they'll have to deal with shit if they ask him, or he won't do them. But, they know you will, so asking you is easier for them than trying to convince and hound your brother to do something. Same with a lot of bosses. I usially get more responsibilities at work, due to that reason. They know I put effort in and won't argue or give them a hard time, unlike othet employees, when they ask me to do something--up to a point

hi AJMClassof18
Your brother is being trained to be a your parents idea of a man - centre of the Universe - and you are being trained to be their idea of a woman - servant of the man. Both roles are of course wrong. He will suffer for it - do not indulge your parents or him. The problem with families is they repeat patterns of behaviour.
Best wishes

Of course. My sibling is male- and thus useless at household chores.
I was the eldest child in a large family so yes I did.
That's definitely not fair, and sounds vaguely sexist.
