Had A Lovely Time

I've been a little 'estranged', shall we say, from my mum this last couple of years.

Behaviours. Beliefs. Paranoia. And plain old silly thoughts. That's what's come between us.

For the past year it's been very tentative between us, on my part. Mum's been getting her act together and I have been finding myself.

Yesterday, we had a nice time just chatting, over a couple of coffees and a few cigarettes. Getting back to being mother and daughter. Relaxed.

I came away with a little smile on my face.

I love my mum, although loving her at times has been hard. But she's my mum.

She means a lot to me.
