When You’re Not Married And Your Mother Asks….

@Azlotto I knew someone from work and had a mutual friend. Her mother started pressuring her to get married, kept talking about it and pushing, pushing, pushing when she was in her 30’s. Mother was wanting grandchildren. By the time she was in her 40’s she had a mental breakdown from the stress and was having to take medication. She didn’t seem to be the same person after that. She has never gotten married and about my age.

@Azlotto It is sad. She should have thought of her daughter’s mental well-being. There was a man she dated that her parents liked but I had worked with him and he had a strange personality and he had a PhD i education. . She ended up not marrying him even though her father would still talk to him etc.
