My mother is a miracle that unfolded before my eyes
On this Mother's Day a small tribute to my mom.
There was a time in my childhood where my family had to go through harsh circumstances. My father had met with an accident. He only pulled through out of his sheer strength. But it took some years for him to recover. During those time, it was my mothers relentless struggle, sheer will and sacrifice that got us through.
She refused to suffer the circumstances. Because if she suffered, her family will too and that she couldn't afford. There were situation where a normal person's blood would freeze out of fear. But again, she couldn't afford to be afraid. For her family.
My mother got us through. I always believed that my father was a lucky man. Because he had my mom. She was the light that got him through his darkest times.
These days when my sister, who is professor, complains about how hard it is to juggle work and family, I give her a smile. A moment later she would smile back. That's the moment she remembers our mother and what she had gone through for us. Next to her struggles, all our worries look trivial.
I could write a hundred pages on my mother. But let me offer my gratitude in few words...
