I Love My Family

I have a very close relationship with my children. I always taught them from early childhood that they could share anything with me. I guess I was considered a helicopter mom. 😊

My baby is home from college and he'll be starting his Junior year this fall. My baby is 6'1, muscular, plays football and wear dreads he can look a little intimidating but he's such a teddy bear!

He and I were sitting at the dinner table and we were discussing life. He told me he was approached by a man this year and was offered a position to sell drugs for him. He was like mama he showed me so much money and what I could make. He was like being a broke college student it looked great but he said I turned him down and he said you want to know the reason why I did? It was because of you. My child said I know what you went through. You were at every game, practice when I was smaller, every program when we were in school. Late at night sometimes I would see you cry or you praying. He said I never want to be a disappoint to you. I know what you sacrificed. And too I love my freedom. 😂

My heart melted. I cried like the big baby I am! I was so PROUD of my child. Parents they do hear and watch our actions!

When my mind starts to wonder if I were a good enough parent I'll remember this conversation.

You sound like a spectacular mom :) That must fill you with such pride to have a fine young man like that. It's easy to give into the wrong decision. ☺
